Primary Responsibilities
• Reports directly to the CTO

Skill requirements

• 5+ years working with Java
• 2+ years of leading projects using open source stack including Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, JUnit etc
• 2+ years as a team lead, lead architect or engineering manager
• Experience with web 2.0 technologies and REST based interfaces
• Experience deploying applications on Windows, Linux and OSX
• Experience working in an Enterprise Software startup environment is a plus

To date, I have been responsible for the whole business including all development, installation and support work. I am now looking for someone to take on some or all of the development work. Although there is one position, I would be prepared to fill this in one of 2 different ways:

1. A Senior Developer who would take responsibility for running the code-base and development process. As well as being a great programmer, I will be expecting someone to be able to analyse our current processes, suggest improvements and implement those which we agree on. You would have significant autonomy once you have proved yourself and be able to drive best-practices and processes.

2. A Junior developer whom I would mentor in the best practices I have been using. In this case I would continue to be very involved in development.

Our product set is written in C# using agile methodologies and has a heavy focus on SharePoint. The role could be full-time or part-time for the right candidate. It will be a home-based role so you will need to be comfortable and effective working from home. Although home-working sounds great it is not for everybody.

SalamanderSoft is a small company, and so although your main focus will be on development, you will undoubtedly need to perform other tasks as well, especially when other team members are unavailable. It is highly likely that you will need to deal with customers so you will need to be personable and happy in this role. The customer is always right!

In a Junior Developer I am looking for someone who:
* uses their initiative and gets things done

The Desktop Support Specialist responds to client’s inquiries concerning support requests, application availability and general hardware/software/applications-related questions. The Desktop Support Specialist will support Ronin Capital UK traders and work closely with the London Office Manager and Ronin IT Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose problems through troubleshooting skills, logic, research, and isolation steps.
• Record all client inquiries, from initial call to incident resolution.
• Coordinate entire support incident for the client, ensuring top-notch service.
• Maintain current and orderly systems manuals and update manuals as necessary.
• Configure, support and perform routine maintenance of hardware and software for desktops (PC/Laptop) and servers.
• Troubleshoot PC and printer problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.
• One to two years experience in a technical support role, providing desktop and software support.
• Knowledge of PC/server hardware, Microsoft Windows OS (XP, 2000, 2003), and MS Office Products.
• Experience with Linux/Unix (CentOS / RedHat / Solaris variants) preferred
• Experience with (McAfee Virus clients, Symantec Ghost, and Sysprep) preferred.
• Experience with financial vendor tools (Bloomberg, Thomson, REDI, Trading Technologies, CQG, E-SPEED) preferred.
• Clear theoretical understanding of networks, including LAN/WAN/VPN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute in a team environment.

I. POSITION:
The Senior Risk & Valuation Application Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, support and maintenance of java and web based applications.
